A man reported a hen was stolen from his chicken coop.


Personal Hygiene was high on his list

A man reported a lighter, amplifier and a tube of toothpaste was stolen from his vehicle.


FEBRUARY 2015

I can't.
A 23-year-old man was arrested concealing three sandwiches in his pants and leaving the store without paying. The food was valued at $9. The man has two prior convictions, police said. According to the man’s girlfriend, police said, there was no reason to steal the food as there is food at their residence.


A man was arrested after he fled from a traffic stop. He eventually was found by a police dog hiding in a (sic) Dumpster.


A 26-year-old man was arrested when he took electronics valued at $130 and fled a store. Police said as he was running, he ran out of his shoes and started dropping stolen goods. All but a speaker valued at $30 was recovered. The man was located a short distance from the store and was taken into custody. Police said the man has three convictions.

Sneakers, a watch, sunglasses and an AK-47 valued at $1,320 were reported stolen from a vehicle.


APRIL 2015
aka A Pretty Slow Month for Quirkiness


A 22 year-old male received lacerations over his right eye, bruising, a broken lip and loose teeth over a dispute regarding eggs with his roommate, police reported. The victim was taken to a local hospital.


A woman was arrested after she reportedly failed to return a $15,000 vehicle she had rented from Hertz. The suspect said she didn’t know she was supposed to return the car, according to the report.


MAY 2015

Maybe it was for the Funnies...

A lawn mower, a weed trimmer and several copies of the newspaper were reported stolen from a home. The items were valued at $270.

A high school student was arrested after reportedly driving 83 mph in a 70-mph zone on the Winters Freeway, prompting an officer to attempt to pull him over. The suspect got away after using “evasive maneuvers,” police said. He later was arrested at school.

A 46-year-old woman was arrested after reportedly stealing $17 in vitamins by opening the packaging and pouring the merchandise down her shirt and into her bra.

A woman was arrested after allegedly attempting to steal five packages of bacon from a grocery store. When confronted, the suspect gave the bacon back, but police reported finding more bacon, allegedly stolen from another grocery store, inside her vehicle.

Practice Makes Perfect

A man was arrested after he loaded a Walmart shopping cart with $193 of items and tried to leave the store with it. He told a police officer he was just “practicing” shopping.


That must have been a sizeable bottom.

A 49-year-old woman was arrested after she was accused of using a motorized shopping cart to take items from a store. She allegedly sat on $51 in clothing and exited without paying.

Because we all know how DIRTY money really is.

A phone charger, $3 in cash and hand sanitizer were reported stolen out of a vehicle.


1st World Problems

A woman was arrested after allegedly stealing $70 worth of clothing from Kmart. She reportedly told arresting officers that she stole the clothes because she recently had gained weight and wanted some clothing that fit.
